John and Lila LOVE their new preschool! John goes every morning from 9 until 11:45, and Lila goes Tuesdays and Thursdays for the same amount of time. Here are some photos from their first day of school, which was Thursday, September 5th.
They were so proud to show off their new Prince of Peace tote bags (Lila's is purple, John's is blue), which they use to bring home their projects and notes from their teachers....
The kids had fun finding their classrooms by looking at the signs in the front hall of the school. John is in Mrs. Short's Lions class, and Lila is in Mrs. Mulligan's Ducks class.
On Tuesdays and Thursdays when they both have class, John likes to escort Lila to her classroom first even though his classroom is on the way. He loves to help her take off and hang up her coat, hang up her tote bag, and put on her nametag. Then he holds her hand and hugs her goodbye! I wish he were always this sweet to his sister.
Yesterday and today were parent-teacher "conversations" (conferences) at school, and I feel obliged to share that both John and Lila got glowing reviews from their respective teachers. Mommy and Daddy are so proud of you two -- keep up the good work!
